How to Tie a Necktie for Beginners

For some of you who are thinking about job hunting in Japan, it may be your first time wearing a suit.
It is common to wear a necktie during job interviews in Japan.
In this article, I would like to introduce the basic plain knot knot for neckties.

This is a style that works well with a standard regular collar shirt.
It is characterized by a hard, small knot and is the easiest knot to tie.
If this is your first time wearing a tie, master the plain knot.

  1. Take the longest part of the wide end and cross it so that the wide end side is on top of the small sword.
  2. Turn the top layer of the wide end around from the back.
  3. Bring it from the back to the front.
  4. Thread the wide end through the looped part from the top.
